This website will provide you with some general information about the routines in the classroom.

Specials schedule Monday- Art, Tuesday-Gym, Wednesday- Library, Thursday- changed each week, Friday-Music. Students will need sneakers every Wednesday for Gym.

We will have homework every night, Monday through Thursday. The children will have reading every night, spelling words to practice and on Tuesday a math paper. Homework gives children a chance to show you what they are working on in class, extra practice and develop a routine.  Five spelling words are chosen by the children on Monday unless there is a holiday. The children will need to practice them to be ready for the test on Friday. Practice is determined by you and your child. More information will be sent home with the first spelling list. Books to read will be sent home daily in a book bag and should be returned the following day in the book bag. The bag will keep the books safe while going from home to school and back.

Each month I will send home a book club order.  The book club orders allow me to get books for the class. It is an opportunity for you to order books but your are under no obligation to do so.

If you would like to send in a birthday snack, please send in a note or email. Snacks should be easy for your child to pass out. We currently have 18 children in our class. Remember that we are a peanut free school and have a student with dietary needs.  Please try to choose healthy snacks whenever possible. Items purchased from most grocery stores contain traces of nuts or are processed in a factory that produce items that contain nuts. I will not be able to serve the snack and will send it home.
