HOMEWORK BULLETIN BOARD

Wordly Wise: No Wordly Wise this week |

Spelling: Have an adult give you a trial spelling test. Ask them to sign the paper when you are finished. Spelling Lesson 7 test on Friday |

Math: Come up with a rule (written as an expression) for an input/output table. Write down the materials that you plan to make the table out of. Most students have chosen to do the table on legal sized paper, but you can make a poster if you choose to do so. |

| Social Studies: Continue working on project. |

ELA: Find a biography to read by Monday. |
|
|
Science: Write a thank you note to Mr. Smith. Be sure that it is at least 5 sentences long. Be sure to have a greeting and a closing. Also, be sure to: Thank him for coming, write about something you learned as a result of his visit, and let him know the part that you enjoyed the most. |

Trivia Question!
Join in the (optional) weekly trivia contest.
You will receive a trivia question each week, which will be due on Thursday. If you get the correct answer, your name will be added to the drawing. One name (from each class) will be chosen, per week, to receive a prize from the prize drawer. Everyone who attempts to answer at least five questions will receive extra credit.

5th/6th Grade Community Service Club:
The club had its first meeting on Thursday, September 29th. It was decided that we would meet twice a month - alternating Mondays and Wednesdays.
So far the club has held 2 fundraisers:
NEXT MEETING: Monday, Jan. 30th
This is a special meeting to present the senior center with a check to help them get new furniture. The students raised this money with their "Turn Mold into Gold" campaign.
