Welcome to NBMS

Sixth Grade Students, 

      Welcome to New Braunfels Middle School. We are glad you are a part of our school. This will be a very busy school year. During the first few weeks of school, we will be organizing our notebooks and learning classroom procedures. During the second week of school, I will be giving you a large ring for your vocabulary words. This will be yours to keep. I will teach you how to use the vocabulary ring when you need to study for quizzes. In the middle of September, we will be visiting the library for the first time and will be checking out books. As a class, we will be going to the library every two weeks. In the future I will list the library dates on this site, and there will be a reminder on the "Get In Gear" board outside my classroom. We will be doing a lot of writing in this class, so please make sure you have plenty of notebook paper. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you.

  Our Christmas break is right around the corner.  Between now and Dec. 19, we have lots of work that needs to be completed.  See the calendar for the testing schedule.

Every day you should check the "Get In Gear" board outside my classroom door.  On this board will be listed all the supplies you need in my classroom for the day.

This will be a very busy week.  Come prepared to work hard.
